My interview on Super Human Radio

I haven't been active here in a while, but I have been thinking about you all! Hope everyone is well. I am really looking forward to warmer running weather. To kick it off, I had the privilege of being interviewed by Carl Lanore of Super Human Radio Network. This is a well established podscast...

    Mileage Reporting Week 36 (Sept 4 - Sept 9)

Hello! I've kept up with roughly 24 miles per week on my active weeks, but the smoke from wild fires the last few days is making this week difficult. I already had an easy week last week, so am really hoping that it is clear enough for a long run tomorrow. Still interspersing with wonderful...

    People's reactions when you run

It has been fun to see the same people walking regularly on my one mile path around the fishing ponds. On my run two days ago one lady seemed to urgently want to tell me something. She and her walking mate had swept off a bunch of glass for me (there is not usually any broken glass on this...

    People's reactions when you run

Such unnecessary stress in a difficult time for you! I am so sorry to hear about your wife. I have dealt with death by cancer for a young daughter and a not so old mother. My heart goes out to you. If you are inclined to contact me at all, feel free. As for the police response, I just don't see...

    Mileage Reporting Week 26 (Jun 26 - July 2)

Long story short, I got some ring worm on my feet, tried Tinactin to clear it up, had an allergic reaction of hives all over the back of my legs that is into its second week of healing, but I have still been running. I think I have been feeling a little less than spritely because of it, but the...

Diamond Dave here; new to barefoot running

Welcome. While it can help to visual a new form, I think the most important thing is to be patient with form and musculoskeletal strength improving. It just takes time, like you can't start using a body part after it has been in a cast for a while. It just doesn't have the strength to do what it...

    Mileage Reporting Week 21 (May 22 - 28)

Hey, everybody! I started out my week with a hot Sunday afternoon 4 mile challenging hike in the desert, looking at some acreage to purchase. Wore my heavier duty moccasins for that and glad I did! Since Sunday is usually my rest day, I decided to cut Monday's run down to 3.6 (from the usual...

    Mileage Reporting Week 20 (May 15-May 21)

I put in 24.8 miles this week, longest run 12.1 miles yesterday. Lots of fuzzy, little ducklings and goslings around the ponds. Got a bit of a bruise on the ball of one foot again, but I think it will heal by Monday. Planning on inching up the mileage again.

Mileage Reporting Week 12 (Mar 20-26)

I rounded out the week with 2.4 miles Saturday morning, so finally making some progress in gently increasing weekly mileage again. Then, I got to do a bit of dancing Saturday night. I wish more of the women who are smiling at me like they wish they could dance as energetically would come talk to...
