    OK, six week healing picts. OK, six week healing picts. I'll post again at 8 weeks. Tried to run this AM, still not working...too painful yet. Gonna try again thursday, and every other day after that until I can run again!!! But, progress is steady and regular!

    Barefoot running in the rain is essential to do.

    I love running in the I love running in the rain...I don't like running in monsoons....I like running ON mud...I don't like sliding up and down steep mountains in rivers of mud....but nothing like a run on concrete and asphalt in a spring shower to clean the soles.

    answer to the question. Nope. answer to the question. Nope. :-) but I probably don't worry about a lot of stuff I maybe should worry about ;-). I like running on and through grass/feilds...not much in the way of "parks" per se where I live.

    to me, it localized like that to me, it localized like that (chip seal tends to get at the whole foot), you might have stepped on something that perferated your skin (might still be in there)...not all "wounds" will bleed. Or stepped on a small rock without knowing it and gotten a small stone...

    Three week healing Three week healing progression :-)...pretty cool eh? I started walking regularly today, although not "normally"...but I don't have to scoot around on my arse anymore!! Left is almost healed...right is a few days behind, it was a little worse off.

    this is one way true BF is this is one way true BF is better ;-) on rocky terrain, your feet conform to the rocks if you let them relax, and stone brusing doesn't happen that often :-D...feet can't really "melt" around the surfaces in any type of shoe. But, yeah, you probably have some stone...

    older chip seal is easier older chip seal is easier than newer...and there are different kinds of chipseal, depending on area. I find gravel (even the horrible 2A gravel--the angular sharp stuff) more tolerable especially in the summer months when the feet are warm and melt around it...
