Darn! That means it won't be easy to correct the issue. I'll have to spend a lot of time walking to get it right, I guess. Thanks for the help, I appreciate it.
OK, turns out it is quite visible now and not quite like a standard whiteish blister. So, I've brought pictures this time! Also, it is actually directly under the middle toe.

Thoughts?
After looking at the first video, I think I should film myself from the front on a treadmil to see whether or not my feet are running in a proper way. I could compare to that first video.
It isn't like the sores in the thread. It isn't bruises either. When I don't get a blister, there isn't much to see. Maybe the skin is just too "raw" in that particular spot and it hasn't fully developed an appropriate layer of skin for protection.
Basically, it there is abrasion on that spot...
I'm not sure how I would describe it, really. It seems to be a spot that sustains a considerable amount of abrasion and as such, after the run, a "hot" burning sensation persists. It is not visible on my left foot as no blister developed. There is very little to show on the right foot other than...
Hi everyone,
Here I am, asking for help again.
So, yesterday I went for a barefoot run. I normally get those hot spots on the ball of the foot between the middle and fourth toe (big toe being toe number one). The spot is on the ball of the foot closest to the toes. I never worried too much...
No we don't have an indoor running track. In fact, I didn't even know indoor running tracks existed!
Here, you have two options :
1- dreadmill
2-go running outside on compact snow at -30C with 10 extra pounds of clothes on
2.6 km Tuesday evening at -28C... Nothing to report other than I found a way to protect my ankles from the cold. I used the lower parts of soccer shin guards. It seemed to work well enough.
2.35 km on Saturday in Sockwa G4. I hadn't ran since October 22. Around -30 C so it is quite cold nowadays. I'm getting back in shape as I'm hoping to run a half marathon on June 20.
I might have caught some kind of frost-nip on my ankles as my the skin on my ankles was swollen and itchy after...
I just received my G4. My initial impressions is that they are true to size. I wish they were a bit wider, but the fabric seems to adapt fairly well to one's feet. I have a history of blisters in footwear, but the fabric is very soft so I don't think that will be an issue. I'll give more...
Consider this : I will be running in sub freezing temps for the next 6 months. The average winter temp will be around -20C and it can go as low as -40C with windchill. So I guess I won't get a lot of barefoot miles this winter. So, I guess I will only log miles in between seasons for the winter...
I cut my feet pretty deep on ice once, so I totally get what you mean.
Thankfully, I asked around here before doing anything stupid. I'll give a 1 mile run on snow a shot eventually, though. :)
So you're saying most people participating in the winter challenge don't run barefoot in the snow? O.o
I guess I'd better wait until I get my sockwas then!
Now the roads are covered in snow.
I feel a little uneasy at the idea of running BF on snow. How long can I expect to run BF without severely risking frostbite? I understand this will vary depending on the weather.
My only choices of footwear to carry along are either socks/Lems boulder...
I'm resurrecting this thread.
Hey, thanks for the heads-up on sizing. I'll try to order mine tonight. I fall between 26.3 and 26.6 cm so I'll order a M11.
Any suggestion on color?
Sup!
If anybody wants to post Halloween pictures, here's a good place to do it! I'll start with mine!
In the Office where I work, if you don,t wear a costume on Halloween, you have to pay a fine. The money collected goes to charity.
