Mileage reporting week 16 of 2016

This seems to be a drawback on really long barefoot trail runs...late in the run when you get tired and your running form gets sloppy a bit the risk factor for the toes goes way up...just something i have noticed and you really have to be focused in the later part of the long runs to determine...

Anyone follow a ketosis diet plan?

The keto diet works well for me but i don't do it all the time. It can be a shock for people who are used to a high carb diet and could take at least 6 - 8 weeks to adapt to it full time. Blends in well with Maff run training to help get your low effort running speed improved once your used to...

    Vivobarefoot Gobi

I agree the Vivo rubber they use is long lasting. I have a pair of Gobi's in my work shoe rotation and they are one of my favorites...the leather was stiff at first but broke in nicely after a few months. Vivo's foot shape is 2nd best brand for me and the width is just enough but i wouldn't buy...

    Me and My Maf Zone

I've read on some other websites when using the MAF training that you do not need to subtract your years above 55 ...that's just some runners opinion of course and not part of the original Maff formula. I do MAF training most of the time unless i'm prepping for a race which is seldom...if I'm...

Mileage Reporting Week 26 of 2015

wed - around 7+ miles pavement local roads just after sunrise...a couple uphill tempo intervals for some speed training. Thurs - same as wed but easy recovery pace the whole way. Saturday - Ran at Stone Mountain park, rainy morning humid and cloudy with a few rain drops here and there...

    Mileage Reporting Week 25 2015

I'd say your doing really well considering your work shifts! Your feet will adapt pretty quickly if you can get some slow runs on the toughest trails but you wont be able to match shod speed most likely...I'd run mid-shod if you can't pre-run the course and if you want to get a good time...

Sunday - Ran with one of my work friends from the Georgia BRS chapter... 6+ miles with a few uphill tempo intervals mixed in. Wed - 3 mile min-shod trail run to get the feel of my trail shoes again. Taking some recovery this week before a shod trail half marathon race tomorrow...have a couple...

    the elusive form

That's pretty normal...your starting from a good point though with no old running habits to break. Probably number 1 was not over thinking running form and not trying to force changes...after over-doing it many times I finally got it. To actively change something like foot landing it was...
