Finally, another barefoot runner

I met up with Anna, on Sunday for a run along the streets and canal in Ottawa. It has been 7 long months since I've had a chance to run with another barefooter. Canadian winters seem to put people in hibernation mode. Anna was a regular in Barefoot KenBob's running group, and moved back to Ottawa in November. She's just getting back to running, post-winter, and I look forward to more chances to run with her. We did a 1 mile loop. It was great to meet her. I'm hoping to pick her brain with KenBob tips.

Any other Ottawa area runners? Please send me a message. Let's see if we can organize a weekly run. I'm open to runs of 1 to 20k, on road or trail.

I thought we ran together 5 months ago at the end of November 2011? But seriously that's good that you were able to find someone else to run with. My in-laws told me about a woman they saw running barefoot last weekend, so there may be more out my way too.

Hey - that's right Paul. We ran at High Park with David et al. I also ran with Martin north of Montreal the first week of Dec. Anyway, there has to be more barefooters out there. Where oh where can they be?

Great hope to see some more barefooter on this weekend May 5, 6, 2012 Mississauga and Toronto marathon, I'll be in Mississauga.

Good luck in your quest to find others! We are a rare bunch lol.

I actually used to live up that way, in northern NY. Grandparents lived between Ogdensburg and Massena. We lived about 20 minutes from Watertown. Wish I was still there.
