Been awhile since I've posted anything here. I feel that TJ will find this an adequate Chaser post...

Fellas... Let's talk for a second.

Balls.

We've all got them, unless you're either A, not a fella or B, a fella who came across some poor misfortune.

I have noticed that as I have gotten a little older every year (I'm now 30) that the boys tend to hang a little lower and lower with the passing of time.

This poses a problem when I'm running. They seem to rub against my legs, causing some rather uncomfortable chaffing issues. It gets worse with time / distance of course.

I use Body Glide religiously. I apply more lube than a gay porn star before I go for a run, so I dont think thats the issue. I also wear some compression shorts to keep my thunder thighs from starting a fire themselves.

I'm not sure what exactly to do. I feel that the seams on my Compression shorts might be part of the problem, but I'm not 100% convinced of that.

Has anyone else fought the battle of the flaming testies before?

Ladies, I welcome any comments and or suggestions from you as well.

Classic Chaser all the way.

Chaser, i'm not having the exactly same problem but seams can be a very painful issue. I have this problem both when running in compression shorts and when using my trisuit. As you mention lots of bodyglide seems to help to some degree. I don't have a good solution to your problem but I feel for you(rs).

Sid, I've wanted a running kilt for awhile now. Do you have one that you run in? I couldn't imagine that running in a kilt with nothing on under it would have good results either, but I've never tried it, so I don't know.

Mikkel, I've tried 3 different types / brands of compression shorts and have the same problem with all 3. I feel like I just need to toughen up the Ole Sack over time or something like that.

So... do I rub the contents of the ice pack on the boys?

Application happens before or after chaffing?

Good to see you by the way! I check in occasionally, seems like you've increased your races distances huh?

I'm pretty sure that ancestral man got around without shorts, doing quite well.

I don't run long enough distances anymore for chafing. I run in the morning or evening, so I don't sweat enough for chafing.

Ancestral man probably wasn't carrying the extra 30 pounds of fat that I am.

In hot and humid Texas you break a sweat by walking outside, regardless of time of day.

Ok, I just looked at the running kilts website.

Why does it seen that every customer review is by a barefoot runner or someone wearing Huaraches?

And I don't see how a kilt prevents chaffing. Can someone explain that phenomenon?

Chaser never disappoints:)
Ok here are my two cents but first a question,
Do you wear underwear under your shorts?
If not, then there is your problem...just sayin'

How about a smaller hammock? ;-)

Yeah I have no idea how to help actually other than showering before a run and using body glide, oh and I wear some spandex underwear short thingy's from Target. That seems to solve the problems for me. I've had luck with using anti perspirant deodorant too, the whitestuff, if I don't have any body glide available.

Yeah increasing the race distance while decreasing the actual overall running. Weird that it works but it does? You've got a race coming up soon?

I have to say I never experienced any chaffing on the plums in the all the years and distances I have ran. I wear running shorts that have a liner in them. In the winter I wear these underarmour boxers with running tights, no issues. And I'm 44 and the lift is not there as my younger days:)
