Last year I took on Pot 50 as my first ultra. Race report here: http://www.thebarefootrunners.org/threads/potawatomi-50m-trail-run.16004/

This year, I was training for the hundo. Unfortunately, in January the IT Band (yes, the same IT Band that reduced the above "race" to a "backward hike" after 30 miles) sprung up and grabbed me again. So in February, I don't think I put in a grand total above 50 miles for the entire month!!!

Fortunately, I've gone to the chiro (which I've never done before and I'm pleased to say has really, really helped) and my condition has been improving. 2 weekends ago, I put in a trail marathon without incident. Last weekend, I put in a trail half. I think I'll be OK to go 50.

13:30 was the result last year. This year the goal is anything under 12 hours.

There's still room if anyone else feels like abusing themselves with me!!!!

Nice improvement! What's the chiro doing for your ITBS?

Just getting things aligned. Not sure if it isn't just mental. IT popped up during the race, but... And I hesitate to say this because it's impossible, but I ran through it. It got better, weird. Looking forward to getting it all out in a report.

Awesome man! Congrats on a great race!
