Picked up a couple of pairs of the 1.5 and one of the 2.0. Haven't run in them yet but the fit on both feels great. A lot less squishy than the lone peaks and they are much lighter. I think these might be my go to trail shoes for a while.

I will be watching this thread with great interest. I like my Superior (1's), but they seem to break down and change my form, I tend to get injured in them (I think).

So I have put on a couple hundred kilometers on my 2.0's and so far I have been extremely pleased with them.
They have great grip on almost all surfaces except wet oily asphalt.
They are not very water resistant, on the other hand they do drain quickly after being submerged.
The material seems to be very durable compared to the 1.0's
I am using them without the rock plate and I barely feel the ground at all. I am very impressed with this feature.
The sole is significantly stiffer than the Lone Peaks.
My big toes tend to get smashed a little and I have to make sure my nails are trimmed very short.
Laces hold tight.
There is a trick to getting them on and tightening them for me. I keep the forefoot very loose and then tighten three rings from the top tight. I also push down the edges of the tongue before tyng to make sure it lays flat. This seems to help the fit on all the models.
They really have minimal to zero impact on my running form, like I experience with the 1.0's
So for now this is my goto shoe, I'll probably pick up another pair or two in the near future.
I like them so much I still have two pairs of 1.5's sitting unused...

Ha I'll get around to them eventually, I bought them on clearance a while back for $80 for both pair. The tread on the 1.5 is the same as the 1.0 and they don't grip in wet muddy situations quite as well as the 2.0 that's mainly why I have been using the 2.0s. Come summer I'll probably rotate through them more in prep for Leadville.
It's odd how different the three models really feel on your feet. I usually bike and occasionally run in my 1.0 model but I think I should retire them from running completely. They work great for biking and the sole holds really well on wet pedals.

If anyone is thinking about buying these I think I would recommend a 1/2 size up from your normal size. I got a size 12 the other day and it's much less pressure on the toes. I'll report after my long run Saturday but I think this will make everything perfect unless the extra room create more movement?

I bought a pair of 2.0's to replace my neoprene water shoes I use for winter. Water shoes were ok, but feet got cold, traction wasn't good on snow and even after buying a full size bigger (14), I found the toes to be tight. Haven't run the Altra's yet, but after 6 years of barefeet in the summer, I'm still searching for a warmer solution for the winter. Maybe it'll be the Altra's!!

Yeah hope they work out for you. They are onto the 3 model now, I haven't had a chance to try them.

I've been using these for the last few events and runs https://www.altrarunning.com/men/lone-peak-3-neoshell-mid
I still am not a fan of the fit since they are narrower than the other models. However they are nice and warm and mostly waterproof.

Ran them the other night. Bike trail was 100% snow covered, temp was -18C with a bit of a breeze, not bad. First thing I noticed was traction! Didn't feel like the drunk ballerina out there. Feet were warm. Cushioning took a bit to get used to, but was ok. So far, I'm pleased!
