My Posterity Footprint

I leave my footprint for you to see
the damage that shoes did to me.
My foot is no longer nice and wide
but narrow and cramped in shoes they hide.
No longer are my feet healthy and free
but diseased and sick, they bother me.
Take this as a lesson, so you may too
not be fooled into thinking shoes rule.
This is what society did to me
I leave my footprint for the world to see.

Now, how about you guys come up with a poem or similar about your Posterity Footprint, what your footprint will tell society about you, and post it here. This could be fun! :barefoot:

I probably could've done something more constructive on my lunch hour, but here goes... :playful: :barefoot:

My footprint is a sign, you see,
Because it is just that for me –
A print of foot, bare as can be!
No clunky boots nor shoes on me!

Five toes on each, the left and right,
That stride the ground in great delight,
By heat of day or cool of night,
Barefoot I go, for that’s my right!

On sand and turf, or even snow,
Barefoot is the way to go!
Through fog and rain and streetlights’ glow
I make my way both fast and slow

I leave behind for all to see,
Footprints bare as bare can be!
And although some will beg and plea,
They’ll never get their shoes on me!

I’m not alone – there’s more around
Who think this way of life is sound;
Who know the pleasures to be found
From feet in contact with the ground

So if you wander and you find
Some five-toed footprints left behind,
Do not let it blow your mind,
Just doff your shoes and join our kind!

There once was a man from South Wales ....

NICE!!!! INCREDIBLE!

I wrote mine in about three minutes last night, literally. My son was tasked with writing a poem or a song about the footprint he would leave behind, and I thought, oh, that's right up my alley. I can't wait to see what he comes up with.

Come on Bare Lee, I know you can come up with something! You've written well before. Perhaps copy it here.
