CONSTRUCTION
Thin, flexible, stretchable leather. Purchased with 2mm street sole.
FIT
Purchased wide width. Needed some stretching in the forefeet, but still a bit tight on my very wide forefeet. Have about 0.5 inch extra room in the front. Otherwise, fits my feet well.
CUSTOMER SERVICE
Exceptional customer service. Never felt rushed. I wasn’t sure what size I needed for my wide forefeet, so I called them. They had a 13 wide on hand and shipped it out. I tried it on, it was too long, and I called them about exchanging it for a 12 wide. The Soft Star Elves went to work on my size 12 wide, while I paid to ship the 13 wide back. Upon receipt of the exchange, Soft Star shipped out the 12 wide for free, as I had opted for store credit.

A bit over $100 in total with shipping.
OPINION
I really like these shoes, however they weren’t wide enough in the forefeet for me. (I have exceptionally wide forefeet.) I stuffed the shoes with a damp cloth, as recommended by Soft Star to allow them to stretch, but even after 8 months, was still working at stretching the leather.
While recently browsing their website, I realized that they started offering a Wide XL in the Original Runamoc. See next post.
