It's much nicer to be courted as a valued customer, rather than to be feared as a litigious one. :D

Yes. After I posted my reply I realized that it could be interpreted as my disagreeing with what you said, and nothing could be farther from the truth. What you wrote is so true . . . about 99.9% of the time.

But there still is that 0.1% that occasionally has to be dealt with.

I think you're right, but it'll take someone taking it to court to make changes. If I had disposable income, and time, I'd hire a lawyer to go after any place that kicked me out for going barefoot.

I'm not sure. I'd like to think changes are taking place and people are getting more open to the idea, but being barefoot was big back in the 60s and early 70s and then it got quashed. By who or what is interesting.

But, living on the fringes is interesting, though I'm less apt to go barefoot around town now. I was more gung ho when I first started, but getting yelled at and kicked out just gets to a guy after a while....
