A brief history of barefoot skateboarding

Very cool! I'm sure Longboard will be chiming in here. At about 3:15 into the video, you can see a guy hold up his foot to show four deep blood scrapes over his metatarsals, I have those same scars! I was on the back end of a very long board, a Lonnie Toft with Sims wheels (I'll never forget it), and I was doing the pushing with my best friend, Charlene, on the front of the board...I always did the legwork, she just rode along. We went everywhere on that board...until I jumped off one time, and it went flying down the sewer hole! so sad. Anywho, back to my story... We started going down this hill that had a lot of loose asphalt rocks, so I told her to jump on the count of three, but she just stayed there while I jumped. Because I was barefoot, the top of my foot, over the mets, got scraped off. It hurt like hell! But what fun memories!
