If anyone is dying to know what the hell their weird-ass dreams mean - tell me and I will analyze it for you. Dream interpretation comes naturally to me. Also, if you have a question for the Universe, before you go to sleep, ask them to send the answer to me in a dream. "IF" they do so, I will let you know what the message is. For example, here is one that I just dreamed about a friend of mine -though he did not ask to have it sent to me.
I dreamt that I had to wake you up from a nap to try on a costume – and I believe it was a FROG costume. You were really cranky when I woke you up (but still cute) and you asked me who wanted you to try this costume on. I asked their name, but you did not recognize it, and would not get up to try it on.
The main thing that frogs represent is transformation. A costume is basically a “mask” – something you use to disguise yourself, or to hide. When you sleep, you are taking a break from your own reality. I am here to help you make a significant transformation, as you already know.
So if you refused to try on the frog costume, you were actually REFUSING TO HIDE YOUR TRANSFORMATION, any longer. However, you are not quite ready to DO anything about it, which is why you went back to sleep. I was trying to “wake you up” in the figurative sense, not the literal.

Maybe you can tell me why I tend to have phobic dreams about spiders. Usually in my dreams they're crawling on me and I freak out and brush them off, but they're attached by the silk and keep coming back to crawl on me again. I just figured it's because spiders terrify me.

A very "stereotypical" dream. I waited around a couple of days for insight - cuz I am generally at a loss when it comes to stereotypical dreams, phobias, etc. Today the surprising answer was revealed, and the spider is actually your "totem animal" or "spirit animal" - here is a link to info about the spider totem meaning, you can look up more, of course. You will probably have to copy and past this URL. http://www.spiritanimal.info/spider-spirit-animal/

Interesting, albeit still creepy. But there's this from that website, which is totally worth pondering:

An important element to consider when you interpret the meaning of the encounter with the spider in your dream is the reaction and feelings you experienced at that time: Were you afraid? Or rather intrigued or fascinated? Was the overall atmosphere of the dream scary and stressful or enchanting, adventurous?
If you want to kill it, you might be repressing some feelings or trying to remove tension from your life. If it looks harmful or it is threatening to you, you may feel that some aspects of your personality or your life are not aligned with your highest interest or that you or your people around you are rejecting them. The spider in a negative dream could symbolize your fears or an adverse influence in your life.

Thanks!

Hello Hope's Mom,
for what it's worth: a psy told me once that a spider phobia is a sign for an unresolved deeply rooted problem with the mother. In my case this was true, but I suppose such a connection would also depend on the cultural background of the phobic person.

I have unsolved deeply rooted problems with my dad, but not my mom. She and I would be BFF's if we lived in the same state. My dad, on the other hand ... well, we had a major conflict when I was in college that's still sort of clouding things. We just don't talk much.

And I totally read that first sentence as "A spy once told me ..." :hilarious:
