Not been on here for quite a while, various reasons.
Event number 3 of my attempt at 5PBs this year at various distances. Tomorrow is the 40-miler.
I've had to take a slight detour from complete minimalist shoes for this one as I managed to screw up my achilles about 5 weeks ago, so I've been rehabbing ever since and I'll be running in a pair of 6mm drop shoes just to take some of the load off the achilles while I'm recovering.
Time on feet has been lacking, with lots of yoga to stretch out the calves, hams, back etc and lots of bike to keep the CV fitness going. My original aim was top 5, now I'll be thinking possible top 10 and sub-8 hours
As for the diabetes, that's fairly well under control, and I should be getting an article published any time soon, so look out for that.
