I Skipped running and working out today cept a few strides while walking the dog, and some "100 ups" to stay loose.

I also stand in running 'pose' on each leg for several minutes at a time several times throughout the day everyday....kind like the runners version of the martial artists Horse Stance :)

Kinda like this, but with a more bent knee ground leg, and the 'up' leg with the foot more forward, along the line of the calf of the ground leg....feels great and builds balance and stability...I did the math, and during a marathon, each leg is in contact with the ground for about 32 minutes in a 4:00:00 marathon pace...so I figure I will work up to being able to hold that pose continuously for 32 minutes on each leg :)

1 km barefoot walk at the local recreational forest. We had to turn around because we forgot mosquito repellent. Still, it was my first time there and I was able to get a map of the trails and spot a few nice ones, so it was definitely productive despite the short distance and the mosquito bites.

Sweet 8 mile run at 4:45 am, 75 deg. f., 83 %rh
Started off good I heard one owl (it has been a while for me hearing an owl) saw 2 coyotes they paced me for about 1/4 mile and scampered off.
I Heard 3 different roosters crow.
at about mile 2.5 on this run there is a house that usually has the lights on inside and on 1 window they have a few empty shelves and some times there are cats playing on the shelves (today there were 2 crashed out on 2 different shelves).
I got some flow a few times on todays run!!

Ran barefoot .75 miles, barefoot, pavement - with NO voyeurs today. Pull-downs/20#/125 reps, dips/plate 160/40 reps, chin-ups narrow/plate 160/15 reps, chin-ups wide/plate 160/8 reps, push-up thingies where you are sitting and pushing your arms up 10#/10 reps, chest press 10#/10 reps. Standing "yoga hold squats" with 20 pounds UNassisted, cuz the damn assisted squat machine is broken. Actually, it was better because I held the bar at waist height - last time I held it behind my neck and my sternocleidomastoids wanted to kick my butt for like 3 days. This reps to failure-ish stuff REALLY works well. I am increasing weight in half the time and with one less workout a week!!!

2 km barefoot on pavement at a 5:50 min/km so I think that's about 9:20/mile. They had just cleaned the road so there was much less pebbles than usual. At the moment, I don't think I can handle more than 2km at a time. So I'll just keep doing this until it feels good. I wasn't really bothered by my now 2 weeks old puncture wound so that's a good sign.

3.63 miles yesterday.

15.21 miles this morning because the weather was good and I hadn't run hard the prior 2 days and I had the time. 14.18 of them were barefoot miles and the soles did just fine. Legs felt good.

Did 5k last night, 3.1 miles....wanted to do more, but my legs felt so heavy that almost the whole 5k was a struggle lol

After I was done my legs felt a lot better though.

All that stair climbing and strength training, with not enough actual running, made me noticeably stronger, but weighted down my legs down for a few days...I had a lot of soreness and stiffness despite efforts to keep loose.

5 mile run at 5:00 am 77 deg. f. 83% rh...
very dark this morning (not much moonlight).
Lots of rabbits
Feet Good
Legs Good

Note: I was very sleepy but got up and around and rolled out the door and was glad I did!!
I use a vest the weights are sports beans, cookie, apricots, phone, and small bottle of electrolyte drink!

Cool! Are you using a weight vest, too? After 2 weeks (about 70 miles), I found that it fixed my gait, and left/right imbalances!

Hah! Hell no. I do weighted stationery exercises with barbell machines, though. :D

Wed - 45 minutes spin bike

Thursady - 5 miles at a good, but comfortable clip

Friday - 8 miles easy, but not terribly slow. 20 minute swim in evening. Seem to have a small cut in the ball of my left foot again. Will try super glue for tomorrow's run.
