This thread will be an ongoing review of the Lems footwear that I won in the recent free draw here on the forum. I had a choice of which footwear and chose the Sweet Janes.

I have to say that I was mega excited to win this prize draw as i'd had my eye on the Sweet Janes for a few weeks but was a little unsure about ordering from the USA and was also waiting until payday.

I wasn't sure how long the shoes would take to arrive as they were shipped from the USA. I received the email saying they had been dispatched on the 1st May and today (the 13th May) they arrived!! I think the delivery time is very acceptable, i had expected longer - post from within the UK often takes a week to get here to this remote corner of NW Scotland!

On opening the box the shoes were just as I expected - they look very well made and the colour (Cordovan) is lovely.

I had asked for a size EU 39 (roughly a UK 6) as this is the size footwear that I would normally wear and they fit perfectly - I have wide feet and bunions which is one of the reasons I much prefer to be barefoot - ordinary shoes just aren't comfortable for me. First impressions are that they are VERY comfortable. I like the style with the rounded toe and the decorative features make them nicely feminine.

I have a few meetings to go to this week and will wear the Sweet Janes - they will look great with either a skirt or trousers and I will post again in a couple of weeks to review them further.

Thank you, Wild Place. Glad you like them. Those are good pictures you took, but honestly, the pictures don't do the color (colour) justice. I have seen them in person, and they are much more vibrant. Don't you think?

Well it's 6 weeks or so now since I first received the Sweet Janes and i'm well and truly hooked - they are my "go to" shoes whenever I have to go out for meetings etc.

I help out at the local craft shop once a week and have stood all day in the SJs and I have to say they are amazingly comfy. I would describe them as so comfy in fact that it is like wandering out in your old, favourite pair of slippers :)

I would highly recommend these for anyone who loves to go barefoot but feels the need to wear conventional looking footwear for work or leisure activites - they look equally nice when wearing trousers or a skirt.

So, to sum up - the Sweet Janes definitely get the thumbs up from me :)
