I was thinking about what I could write, and decided that I would ask a question. Do any other male runners paint their toes? I have for years and so does my dad. Just Curious! Anyway, hi from Tennessee! Weird self intro, but that is just me!

Hi Mugridge and welcome. I'm curious. Why do you paint your toes? Protection or decoration? Do you do it yourself or go to a manicurist?
Hi Mug, we have a few men who paint their toe nails, and some who paint their toes, and feet, and legs, like Paraganek.
Awesome. Makes me feel good to know I am not the only one. To paul: I do it for both. I sometimes do it myself, my girlfriend, little sis or a professional. Just depends on what's going on. I have soft nails and it keeps them from peeling off my toes.
i paint mine for races, and my face. not with polish but body paint. 
Haha awesome! I keep them painted usually. My face usually doesn't have paint but every now and then it does.

Dayton specifically. Chattanooga/Knoxville area. And there aren't any that I know of that do. My dad lived in Hawaii for a time and picked up the tip there.
Yeah. I grew up in Chattanooga, then Jefferson City. The whole historical relationship between the words "Barefoot" and "Tennessee" (particularly when you add in the word "hillbilly" has created some taboo for BF in TN. But I've found that people will often eventually follow others who "make sure they're right, then go ahead" - Davy Crockett.
Welcome to the group. I don't paint my nails but I ran a half with a fellow BRS member who does and boy did he get all the attention. All color coordinated with his shirt. I admit I was a little jealous. I out did him by using the porta potty barefoot and enjoyed the groan of the large crowd as I exited with a smile on my face.
