Hi Docs
I've had a frozen shoulder in the past, and it seems like its going that way again only this time its less
painful and I have a little movement.
Would it still be ok to run or will that just make things worse? I'm really hoping that it doesn't completely lock again and am just not sure what to do.
Thanks

Hi skedaddle,

With limited information, I would assume you would be ok to run. However, you and I both know that frozen shoulder can be a real problem for years at a time so I would suggest you present to your local chiropractor or physiotherapist and have it evaluated. Someone that is able to examine you may have a different opinion. Just remember to run easy and don't be all tensed up. Please get evaluated though.

The often absent,
Dr. Klein

Running will likely aggravate it because of the counter stride that occurs in the upper body. This of course is dependent on how frozen the shoulder is. Frozen shoulders are usually seen with other problems such as core and foot issues. Have you had those areas checked out? A good sports chiropractor can likely be quite helpful.

Thanks Docs
My fear was that I would aggravate things, but i'm also very conscious that i need to exercise else i'll be facing a whole bunch of other health issues down the line.
I'll check in with my local Doc and try to formulate a plan.
I know the last time I had a frozen shoulder there was no way I could run but this time it's not so black and white so i thought i'd ask here first.
I've been out for the past eight months with a foot injury so maybe that could have been a contributing factor, i'm pretty sure my core is stable but i'm afraid planks are now out of the equasion.
